FAQs

  • The answer to this one is many years, but it will depend upon where they are displayed.

    • Avoid direct sunlight - this will help your dried flowers to maintain their bright colours, though a little fading is often beautiful too.

    • Avoid moisture - moisture in the air, for example in a kitchen or bathroom, can make dried stems floppy. This is often not such an issue with wreaths where the flowers are tied in with short stems, but in a bouquet, can lead to flower heady flopping down.

If you do require some flowers for a particular spot that might not fit this description, get in touch and I can create something specifically designed to tolerate bright light / some moisture in the atmosphers.

  • Yes, by all means, dried flower wreaths can be hung outdoors, Many of my customers have used them to decorate their front doors and they will last months. However, they will not retain the same colour for as long as a wreath kept indoors.

Depending on how exposed your door is to the elements, and on the materials on your wreath, you can expect colours to fade, though this can lead to a whole new beauty.

Open dried flowers will tend to close up in the presence of moisture.

So yes, you can hang your dried flowers outdoors but expect them to change over weeks and months.

If you would like a piece created for outdoors, I can select materials that are likely to hold their colour and shape a little longer.
